Exterior Sealer​: How to Apply

Weatherwash Exterior Sealer will not form a coating on top of wood, but rather protects from the inside out. Use WeatherWash Exterior Water Sealer on all raw or WeatherWash stained wood projects that will be outside. This includes fences, decking, shiplap / tongue and groove siding, barns, doors, windows, trim and furniture.  

MATERIALS

- Weatherwash Exterior Sealer

- Brush, Roller, Spray Gun, or Flood System​ 

  • ​​DRENCH WOOD

    1. Apply to raw or Weatherwash stained wood when temperatures are above 50 degrees F.

    2. Mix well and donot  thin. 
    ​Use a brush, roller or spray gun to apply to all wood surfaces, including ends. Brush out any puddles. 

  • AIR DRY

    3. ​Allow to air dry. Topcoated wood will initially appear wet and darker, but will dry and maintain look of Weatherwash stained wood.

    4. Apply a 2nd, back to back coat. Repeat step 2.

  • REAPPLY

    5. Exterior Wood Sealer protects wood for 2-4 years.

    ​When water stops beading, reapplication is suggested.

NOTE: This product can be stained or painted over top off and will still produce wood protection from the inside out!
